General Accountant Jobs in Abu Dhabi at Pure Water Technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with UAE regulations
- Prepare and record journal entries, general ledger, and trial balances
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and customer payments
- Manage project-based accounting, cost control, and job costing for construction projects
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting
- Process payroll and staff expense claims (if required)
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including VAT filing and documentation
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and government authorities when required
- Maintain proper documentation for contracts, invoices, and financial records
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction company
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT, construction accounting, and cost control
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and coordination skills
