TELE-CONTROL / SCADA TECHNICIAN – WATER CONTROL SYSTEM

Work Schedule: 5 Days per Week
Working Hours: 8 Hours/Day, with emergency call-out support as required
Salary & Benefits:
- Option 1: QAR 2,000–2,250 + Accommodation + Transportation + Other Benefits
- Option 2: Full Package QAR 3,000–3,250 + Transportation (Accommodation not included)
Qualification
- Diploma / Technical Certification in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation.
Experience & Technical Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with SCADA, PLC, RTU, and automation systems, preferably in water/wastewater facilities.
- Practical experience in:
- PLC/RTU panel wiring
- I/O testing
- Loop checking
- Solar panel systems
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with PLC/RTU systems, preferably:
- ABB
- Siemens
- Schneider
- Other major OEMs
- Experience with field instrumentation, including:
- Flow meters
- Level sensors
- Pressure transmitters
- Water quality analyzers
- Experience operating and monitoring SCADA/HMI systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including:
- Modbus
- OPC-UA
- Profibus
- Ethernet
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Understanding of commissioning, FAT, SAT, testing, and O&M support.
- Good English communication and reporting skills; Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to follow technical procedures and instructions accurately.
- Willingness to work in field environments, including pumping stations, water treatment plants, and remote sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operation and maintenance of SCADA, PLC, RTU, and automation control systems for water facilities.
- Perform installation, wiring, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of field devices and control systems.
- Carry out PLC/RTU panel wiring, I/O testing, loop checking, and field device testing.
- Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of SCADA/HMI systems.
- Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of industrial communication networks and protocols.
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation such as flow, level, pressure, and water quality instruments.
- Assist with FAT, SAT, commissioning, testing, and system integration activities.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities under the supervision of Tele-Control / SCADA Engineers.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, test reports, calibration records, and technical documentation.
- Follow applicable HSE, cybersecurity, utility standards, and operating procedures.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and support timely restoration of control system operations.
- Must successfully pass the Authorization Interview and qualify as an Authorized Person.
Pay: QAR3,000.00 – QAR3,250.00 per month
