Sr. Electrical Design Engineer Jobs in Doha at fd consult
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, including power distribution, lighting, ELV, LC and fire alarm systems.
- Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, such as NFPA, IEC, BS, NEC, and local regulations.
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and other electrical studies.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to integrate electrical designs seamlessly.
- Select electrical components, equipment, and materials based on technical specifications and project requirements.
- Provide technical support throughout project execution and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver optimal electrical design solutions.
- Knowledge in the ELV systems not limited to GRMS, WIFI, Access control, IPTV, lighting control, AV, BGM, ICT. Ability to perform Heat maps, SPL calculations.
- Knowledge and experience in the authority’s approval process
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with UPDA grade A certification.
- 10 – 15 + years of experience in electrical design, preferably in consulting or construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP and Dialux,
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, NFPA, safety standards, and engineering principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ready to join immediately.
Pay: QAR1.00 – QAR2.00 per month
