As we expand our presence in Qatar, we are seeking a detail-oriented Retail Accountant to join our finance team in Al Wakrah.
Position Overview
The Retail Accountant will be responsible for managing and monitoring financial transactions across retail operations, ensuring accurate sales reporting, inventory reconciliation, and financial compliance. This role is essential in maintaining financial integrity and supporting data-driven retail decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily retail sales across multiple store locations
- Monitor cash, card, and digital payment transactions for accuracy
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and financial reports
- Reconcile inventory records with accounting data and investigate variances
- Support accounts payable and receivable related to retail operations
- Ensure accurate recording of discounts, promotions, and returns
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with store managers and operations teams on financial matters
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Support audits by providing required retail financial documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in retail accounting or similar role
- Strong understanding of retail financial processes and inventory systems
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple store accounts and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
