Al Jameh Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Project Engineer – Fireproofing with QC Experience to join our team for a Qatar Energy Project.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage, supervise, and coordinate fireproofing activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and Qatar Energy requirements.
- Plan and monitor daily site activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and work progress.
- Ensure proper surface preparation, material application, thickness, curing, and finishing of fireproofing systems.
- Coordinate with Client, Consultant, QA/QC, HSE, subcontractors, and other project disciplines.
- Review drawings, specifications, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requirements.
- Conduct and coordinate inspections of fireproofing works and ensure compliance with approved project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IRs), inspection records, checklists, test reports, and quality documentation.
- Monitor DFT (Dry Film Thickness) and other applicable fireproofing inspection/testing requirements.
- Raise and follow up on NCRs, observations, and corrective actions and ensure timely closure.
- Ensure all materials are approved and properly documented before use.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections, testing, and client approvals.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Monitor project progress against planned schedules and identify delays or technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Energy HSE and quality requirements at all times.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fireproofing, passive fire protection, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong experience in Fireproofing QA/QC and inspection activities.
- Experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects is mandatory/preferred.
- Previous experience with Qatar Energy projects or other major oil & gas clients will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of passive fire protection systems, fireproofing materials, application methods, DFT measurement, inspection procedures, and quality requirements.
- Ability to understand and implement ITP, Method Statement, Quality Control Plan, and project specifications.
- Experience in preparing IRs, NCRs, punch lists, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong coordination, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates available in Qatar with valid QID/NOC are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- NACE/AMPP, BGAS, CSWIP, or other relevant inspection/QA/QC certification will be an advantage.
- Experience with Qatar Energy-approved procedures and project documentation is highly preferred.
