Sterling PMC is a client-side project management and Employer’s Representative practice working with developers, institutions and private clients across the UAE. We are recruiting a Planning Manager to lead programme control on a multi tower residential portfolio on Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi.
The role
You will own the programme position across the portfolio on behalf of the Employer. That means independently assessing what the contractor is telling us, telling the client what is actually happening, and giving them the evidence to act on it.
What you will be doing
- Reviewing, challenging and recommending acceptance or rejection of contractor baseline programmes and revisions
- Independently verifying reported progress against site records rather than accepting contractor narrative
- Producing portfolio level programme reporting, S curves, milestone trackers and critical path analysis
- Carrying out delay analysis and assessing EOT claims, including preparation of the client’s position on entitlement
- Maintaining the risk register and modelling the programme impact of live risks and change
- Supporting the project management team with contractual correspondence relating to programme and time
- Reporting programme status directly to the client at portfolio and board level
What we are looking for
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
- 10 years or more of planning experience, with meaningful UAE experience
- Advanced Primavera P6 (this is non negotiable)
- Demonstrable delay analysis experience and familiarity with recognised methodologies
- Strong working knowledge of FIDIC and the time related provisions in particular
- High rise residential or large mixed use portfolio experience
- Ability to write clearly and defend a position in front of a contractor’s planner
- PMI-SP, or equivalent, is welcomed but not essential
- Based in or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi
