About Us
EKT Steel is a Doha-based stainless steel fabrication facility serving the commercial kitchen, food service, and industrial sectors. We operate advanced fabrication equipment — CNC laser cutting, CNC bending, precision welding, and professional finishing — which allows us to produce complex, tight-tolerance stainless steel work that most local workshops cannot handle in-house. We are ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certified.
We are expanding our subcontract and trade fabrication business, and we need a field salesperson to build that channel from the ground up.
The Role
You will spend your day on the road, visiting small and mid-size steel workshops, fabrication companies, MEP contractors, and fit-out firms across Qatar. Your job is to position EKT Steel as their production partner — the workshop they send work to when a job is too complex, too precise, or too large for their own equipment.
This is not a walk-in retail sales role. You will be talking to workshop owners and foremen who know metal. You need to speak their language.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily field visits to steel workshops, fabricators, contractors, and industrial companies across Qatar (target: 8–10 qualified visits per day)
- Build and maintain a territory database of workshops, decision-makers, and their equipment capabilities
- Identify what each workshop cannot produce in-house, and position EKT Steel’s laser cutting, CNC bending, and precision fabrication services to fill that gap
- Collect drawings, samples, and specifications from clients and pass them to our estimation team for quotation
- Follow up on quotations until closure; negotiate pricing within approved margin limits
- Maintain relationships with existing accounts and grow repeat order volume
- Report daily visit logs, pipeline status, and market feedback to the Sales Manager
- Monitor competitor pricing, lead times, and capabilities in the local market
Requirements (Must Have)
- Valid Qatari driving licence — this is mandatory, applications without it will not be considered
- Transferable visa with NOC, or Qatari ID holder eligible to transfer sponsorship
- Minimum 2 years of outdoor / field B2B sales experience in Qatar
- Working knowledge of steel, metal fabrication, MEP, industrial supplies, or commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings and shop drawings
- Fluent English; Hindi/Urdu/Malayalam or Arabic strongly required for workshop-floor communication
- Comfortable working in industrial environments and site conditions
- Self-driven, organised, and able to work without daily supervision
Preferred
- Existing network of contacts among fabrication workshops and contractors in Qatar
- Experience selling subcontract or trade fabrication services
- Familiarity with stainless steel grades (304 / 316), sheet gauges, and common finishes
- CRM or structured pipeline reporting experience
