Metal Scrap Operations Manager / Specialist Jobs in Al Mahjar, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at Anzemat Alhayakel
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Metal Scrap Operations Specialist with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in metal scrap management, purchasing, and sales.
In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of our metal scrap operations. Beyond handling daily trading (buying and selling), you will be responsible for designing and implementing an efficient operational workflow—including scalehouse/truck weigh-in/out protocols, inventory control, and scrap trading cash management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scrap Trading & Commercial Management
Purchasing & Sourcing: Identify, negotiate, and acquire ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal from suppliers, industrial facilities, and vendors at competitive market rates.
Sales & Distribution: Build and maintain relationships with buyers, foundries, and exporters to secure the best selling prices for processed and raw scrap.
Market Analysis: Monitor local and global scrap metal market trends and pricing fluctuations to optimize buy/sell margins.
2. Truck & Weighbridge Traffic System
System Implementation: Design and set up an end-to-end system to manage, track, and log all trucks entering and leaving the yard.
Weight & Traffic Control: Oversee scalehouse operations to ensure precise gross, tare, and net weight recording for every inbound and outbound shipment.
Loss & Fraud Prevention: Implement verification checks to prevent weight discrepancies, unauthorized loads, or material misclassification.
3. Cash & Financial Control
Cash Flow Management: Manage daily cash disbursements for scrap purchases and reconcile cash collections from buyers.
Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate ledger entries, receipts, and daily cash flow summaries in coordination with the accounting team.
Audit & Compliance: Ensure all transactions are fully documented, traceable, and compliant with local financial regulations.
4. Yard & Material Handling Supervision
Sorting & Grading: Supervise material inspection, sorting, and grading to ensure maximum material value and clear quality standards.
Operational Efficiency: Optimize yard layout, loading/unloading times, and heavy equipment usage.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience directly in metal scrap management, handling, and trading (ferrous & non-ferrous).
