Job Description: MEP Technician
Position Overview:
The MEP Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge across MEP disciplines, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related building services. The candidate must also be proficient in preparing maintenance reports and possess a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related building equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting MEP systems and building services.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all MEP systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Carry out electrical works, including wiring, lighting, control panels, and basic fault-finding.
- Perform plumbing works, including installation, repairs, and maintenance of water supply and drainage systems.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP equipment and systems.
- Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and inspection reports.
- Coordinate with supervisors, team members, and clients regarding maintenance activities and project requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and local regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an MEP Technician in facility maintenance, construction, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
- Experience in HVAC maintenance and repair is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Competency in preparing maintenance and service reports.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Relevant technical certifications or trade qualifications in MEP, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing disciplines are preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in facilities management or building maintenance.
- Certification in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or related technical trades.
Pay: From QAR1.00 per month
