Lead Designer – Joinery & Fit-OutsJob Summary
The Lead Designer – Joinery & Fit-Outs is responsible for leading the design and technical development of bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects from concept through execution. The role involves managing the design team, coordinating with clients, consultants, suppliers, and project teams, and ensuring all designs meet quality, functionality, budget, and project timeline requirements.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign Management
- Lead the design and development of residential, commercial, and hospitality fit-out projects.
- Prepare and review concept designs, detailed drawings, and shop drawings for joinery and interior works.
- Ensure all designs comply with client requirements, project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop innovative and practical design solutions while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Review material selections, finishes, hardware, and construction details.
Technical Coordination
- Coordinate closely with the production, factory, and site teams to ensure design accuracy and buildability.
- Review technical drawings before production and resolve any design-related issues.
- Conduct site visits and measurements when required.
- Coordinate with MEP, structural, and architectural consultants to resolve design clashes.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor designers and CAD technicians.
- Allocate design tasks and monitor team performance and project progress.
- Conduct design reviews and ensure consistency in drawing standards.
- Support the professional development of junior team members.
Client & Consultant Coordination
- Attend client meetings and design presentations.
- Prepare mood boards, material samples, and design proposals.
- Address client comments and revise designs accordingly.
- Coordinate approvals with clients, consultants, and project managers.
Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED10,000.00 per month
