Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct structured karate classes for children, teenagers, and young adults.
- Develop age- and skill-appropriate training programs based on participants’ abilities and progression.
- Teach fundamental and advanced karate techniques
- Assess students’ performance and provide constructive coaching and feedback.
- Support students in developing discipline, confidence, fitness, coordination, and technical skills.
- Prepare students for grading, demonstrations, competitions, and other karate-related activities where applicable.
- Ensure proper use and care of training equipment and facilities.
- Maintain appropriate safeguarding and safety standards when working with children.
- Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Karate Coach, preferably with experience coaching children and young adults.
- Strong knowledge of karate techniques, training methods, and progression.
- Recognized karate qualification or certification is highly preferred.
- Experience preparing students for grading and/or competitions is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, disciplined, energetic, and confident when working with young athletes.
- Strong commitment to child safeguarding and participant safety.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a sports academy, martial arts center, school, or similar environment is preferred.
