HVAC Technician Jobs in Ajman at Gladiators Academy Center
Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and reliable HVAC Technician to be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all air-conditioning and ventilation systems across the company’s facilities.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and be capable of identifying and resolving faults independently. The HVAC Technician will also coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs or additional technical support are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to the required schedule.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related HVAC faults.
- Repair or replace defective components, including compressors, motors, thermostats, capacitors, contactors, valves, and control systems.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of filters, coils, drain lines, ducts, and ventilation systems.
- Check refrigerant levels, pressures, temperatures, and overall system performance.
- Identify recurring AC issues and recommend permanent corrective solutions.
- Respond promptly to AC breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
- Ensure that all air-conditioning units are operating efficiently and safely.
- Maintain records of inspections, servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor the condition of HVAC equipment and recommend replacement when equipment is no longer economical to repair.
- Maintain an appropriate stock of commonly required HVAC spare parts and consumables.
- Coordinate with external HVAC contractors or specialized service providers when repairs cannot be completed internally.
- Supervise contractors carrying out HVAC-related work and ensure work is completed correctly.
- Report major technical issues, required repairs, and replacement recommendations to management.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures when performing maintenance work.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Support other maintenance activities when required.
Preventive Maintenance Responsibilities
- Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for all HVAC equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of AC units, AHUs, FCUs, split units, package units, and ventilation systems.
- Clean and replace filters according to the required schedule.
- Inspect belts, motors, bearings, coils, drains, and electrical connections.
- Monitor equipment performance to identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.
- Ensure preventive maintenance activities are properly documented.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma, technical certificate, or vocational qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of practical HVAC maintenance experience, preferably in commercial, hospitality, leisure, or large facility environments.
- Strong knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, and basic electrical systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing different types of HVAC equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Knowledge of refrigerant handling and HVAC safety procedures.
- Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of carrying out maintenance work, including working at heights when required.
- Available to respond to emergency AC breakdowns when necessary.
- UAE experience is preferred.
Work Conditions
- Full-time position.
- Work may include indoor and outdoor environments.
- May require working at heights or in plant rooms and technical areas.
- Weekend, evening, or emergency work may be required depending on operational needs.
- Must be available to respond to urgent HVAC breakdowns when required.
Pay: AED1,085.59 – AED5,196.76 per month
