SYSTEM CONTROL ENGINEER – KAHRAMAA

Location: Qatar
Work Schedule: 6 Days per Week
Shift: Shift-based work
Salary:
- Option 1: QAR 6,000–6,500 + Accommodation + Transportation + Other Benefits
- Option 2: Full Package QAR 8,000–9,000 (Accommodation & Transportation not included)
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience & Requirements:
- More than 7 years of relevant experience in a similar electric utility environment.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in electricity control systems.
- Good knowledge of international standards, KAHRAMAA standards, and practices.
- Strong experience in HV/EHV switching operations and commissioning procedures.
- Knowledge of power system operation safety rules and testing requirements before, during, and after energization.
- Proven experience in substation commissioning.
- Good interpersonal skills with mature judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Fluent in English, including technical correspondence. Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
- Computer literate with good presentation skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Must successfully pass the Authorization Interview and qualify as a Senior Authorized Person (SAP).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise HV/EHV switching operations in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements.
- Monitor and control electrical power systems and substations.
- Coordinate substation commissioning and energization activities.
- Ensure all required testing is completed before, during, and after energization.
- Ensure compliance with KAHRAMAA standards, international standards, and electrical safety procedures.
- Coordinate with operation, maintenance, commissioning, and other technical teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports, switching schedules, and operational documentation.
- Exercise sound judgment during electrical system operations and emergency situations.
- Support and supervise control room and field operations as required.
Pay: QAR8,000.00 – QAR9,000.00 per month
