Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Human Resources Director to lead the Human Resources function and drive people strategies that support business growth, operational excellence, and organizational success.

The successful candidate will provide executive leadership across all HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations, organizational development, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, succession planning, HR governance, and compliance.

This role requires mandatory Human Resources leadership experience in both the Oil & Gas and Construction industries. Applicants without direct HR management experience in these sectors will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the organization’s Human Resources strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management.
  • Lead recruitment strategies for corporate, engineering, technical, project, and operational positions.
  • Oversee manpower planning and workforce mobilization for large-scale Oil & Gas and Construction projects.
  • Design and implement performance management, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
  • Develop competitive compensation, benefits, and reward frameworks.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and grievance management.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and company governance standards.
  • Manage HR budgets, KPIs, and executive reporting.
  • Lead organizational development and change management initiatives.
  • Oversee HRIS administration, employee records, and HR analytics.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to ensure timely staffing of ongoing and future projects.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, workplace ethics, and employee well-being.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree (MBA, MSc Human Resources, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Professional certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD Level 7, or equivalent is highly desirable.

Mandatory Experience

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum 8 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Mandatory Human Resources leadership experience in BOTH the Oil & Gas and Construction industries.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale EPC, infrastructure, industrial, refinery, petrochemical, energy, or civil construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multicultural workforces across multiple project locations.
  • Strong background in workforce planning, manpower mobilization, and project-based recruitment.
  • Experience working within fast-paced, project-driven organizations.
