General Accountant Jobs in Abu Dhabi at INFINITY HOMES PROPERTIES
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles, UAE VAT, and accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on receivables.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and accounting schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and reconcile VAT records and VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations.
- Assist with payroll processing and related accounting entries when required.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Support external auditors by providing required financial records and documents.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable UAE regulations.
- Maintain proper filing and confidentiality of financial records.
- Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience; UAE experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and basic UAE tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Experience in the real estate industry is an advantage.
