Role Description The ELV Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves designing, reviewing, and implementing ELV systems, including security, automation, networking, and audio-visual solutions, in line with project specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing technical drawings and documentation, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and suppliers, supervising installation and commissioning activities, and ensuring quality and compliance with safety regulations. The ELV Project Engineer will also conduct site surveys, support system integration and testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide handover documentation and technical guidance for operations and maintenance. The role requires close collaboration with project management and procurement teams to meet timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, intercom, audio-visual, and structured cabling.
- Experience with system design, engineering calculations, and preparation of drawings and technical documentation (AutoCAD or similar tools).
- Hands-on experience in installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and integration of security and automation systems.
- Proficiency in networking concepts, IP addressing, Wi-Fi deployment, and basic configuration of network devices related to ELV systems.
- Ability to interpret project specifications, tender documents, and construction drawings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to prepare reports, presentations, and client-facing documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related engineering field; relevant ELV or security certifications are an advantage.
- Experience working on projects in the UAE or GCC region and familiarity with local codes, standards, and authority
Driving License is a must.
