Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and hotel standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, eager to develop their culinary skills, and committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie in the daily operation of the assigned kitchen section.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area at all times.
- Follow food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and requisitions.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Support the training and development of Commis Chefs and kitchen team members.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used and maintained properly.
- Assist in receiving and checking food deliveries for quality and quantity.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.
- Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
