About the Position
We are manufacturers of car-care chemicals, cleaning chemicals, detergents and disinfectants, is looking for a responsible, hands-on and organised Production, Quality & Administration Supervisor.
The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising the complete manufacturing process from raw material receipt to finished-product dispatch, while also maintaining production records, quality control, basic accounts and administrative records, coordinating HR matters and assisting with customer support.
This is a hands-on factory position suitable for a person who can take responsibility, work independently and coordinate different departments.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Factory Operations
- Supervise the complete daily production process.
- Plan and coordinate production according to orders and requirements.
- Ensure correct raw materials, quantities and formulations are used.
- Ensure workers follow the approved Manufacturing Job Card for every batch.
- Monitor mixing time, water TDS, quantities, sequence of adding materials and other production requirements.
- Coordinate loading, packing, labelling and dispatch of finished products.
- Monitor workers and ensure proper use of machinery and equipment.
- Identify and report production problems and wastage.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and workplace discipline.
Quality Control
- Inspect incoming raw materials before use.
- Check products during and after production.
- Conduct basic tests such as pH, viscosity, thickness, TDS and appearance, as applicable.
- Check colour, fragrance, consistency, foam and other product characteristics.
- Maintain batch-wise quality records.
- Stop and report production if a product does not meet the required quality.
- Ensure only approved products are released for dispatch.
- Investigate and report quality complaints and production deviations.
Production Records & Data Entry
- Complete and maintain Manufacturing Job Cards accurately.
- Enter raw material quantities, batch details, production quantities and test results.
- Maintain production, stock and wastage records.
- Prepare daily and monthly production reports.
- Ensure all factory documentation is complete and up to date.
Administration & HR Support
- Maintain employee attendance and leave records.
- Coordinate daily manpower requirements with production.
- Assist with employee documentation and basic HR administration.
- Monitor punctuality, discipline and compliance with company procedures.
- Maintain general factory administrative records.
Basic Accounts & Office Administration
- Maintain basic purchase, sales, expense and payment records.
- Enter invoices, receipts and other financial data.
- Coordinate with the accountant and provide required production and purchase information.
- Maintain supplier and customer records.
- Assist with stock and inventory reconciliation.
Customer Support
- Coordinate with customers regarding orders, deliveries and product-related queries.
- Record and follow up on customer complaints.
- Coordinate with production and dispatch teams to resolve customer issues.
- Provide management with timely updates on customer requirements and complaints.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly responsible, organised and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working directly on the factory floor.
- Able to supervise workers and ensure that instructions are followed.
- Good with numbers, measurements and record keeping.
- Comfortable using Excel and basic computer applications.
- Able to maintain accurate data and documentation.
- Capable of handling multiple responsibilities.
- Good at communicating with production workers, suppliers and customers.
- Able to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong knowledge of English is required.
- Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, detergents, cleaning chemicals, car-care products or similar manufacturing is highly preferred.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/factory operations.
- Experience in quality control and production supervision is highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in detergent, disinfectant, car wash chemicals, shampoo, tyre polish or other liquid chemical manufacturing will have an advantage.
Important
This position requires a person who is willing to work hands-on and take ownership of the entire factory operation, rather than someone who only performs laboratory quality checks or office administration.
The successful candidate will work closely with Management and will be expected to ensure that production, quality, documentation, manpower and daily factory operations are properly controlled.
