Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Diesel Engine Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and related mechanical/electrical components.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform monthly preventive maintenance and maintain work logs and maintenance records.
- Identify spare parts requirements and monitor their usage.
- Overhaul and repair engines and transmissions on gas and diesel engines.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems.
- Perform basic maintenance, including oil changes, checking fluid levels, and tire rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Ensure spare parts inventory is adequately stocked for timely repairs.
- Forecast material and spare parts requirements and coordinate with the concerned person for availability.
- Provide maintenance and preventive-care guidance to vehicle users.
- Follow all safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
