Corrosion Senior Technician (Supervisor) Jobs in Doha at Qatar Construction Technique Company – QCTC
We are seeking a highly skilled Corrosion Technician to join our offshore integrity team. This role is critical for maintaining the structural and operational safety of our high-pressure production facilities through precise data collection and hardware maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieval & Insertion: Safely perform the retrieval and insertion of corrosion coupons and electronic probes under live high-pressure conditions using specialized high-pressure retrieval tools.
- Corrosion Monitoring: Conduct routine monitoring of corrosion rates to ensure the integrity of piping and vessels.
- Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and maintain retrieval equipment and monitoring hardware.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of coupon exposure times, initial/final weights, and probe readings.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to Permit to Work (PTW) systems and high-pressure safety protocols in an offshore environment.
Mandatory Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience must be specifically in offshore locations.
- Proven track record in handling corrosion coupons and probes under high-pressure conditions.
Preferred Certifications & Skills
- Manufacturer Certification: Preference will be given to candidates certified by major tool manufacturers such as:
- RCS (Rohrback Cosasco Systems)
- Corrocean
- Emerson
- Metal Samples (or equivalent)
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of chemical injection systems and cathodic protection monitoring.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset and the ability to work independently in remote offshore environments.
