This role involves performing field measurements for CP design, monitoring system effectiveness, supervising technicians, and collecting data for corrosion control reports, often within oil and gas or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing visual inspections, CIPS, and other tests to ensure the effectiveness of cathodic protection systems on pipelines and other structures.
- Conducting field measurements, such as potential profiles, current measurements, and DCVG and ACVG Surveys.
- Identifying and analyzing defects in CP systems, equipment, or coatings, and providing recommendations for repair or improvement.
- Preparing detailed site visit reports, survey findings, and technical recommendations for the technical support unit or project management.
- Overseeing the work of subcontractors and other technicians, ensuring adherence to project procedures and standards.
- Assisting with site installation supervision and the start-up and commissioning of CP systems.
