The Warehouse Team Leader plays a key role in driving the efficient and seamless flow of operations across receiving, storage, and dispatch activities within the warehouse. This role is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of warehouse associates to ensure operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The Warehouse Team Leader works closely with the Warehouse and Logistics Manager to implement operational strategies, meet key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in productivity, space utilization, and resource optimization. By fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and efficiency, the Warehouse Team Leader ensures that customer service goals and organizational targets are consistently achieved.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

Supervise and lead warehouse staff, ensuring efficient execution of daily operations such as receiving, picking, storing, and dispatching goods.

Lead and oversee warehouse teams, ensuring efficient and smooth daily operations at the branch level.

Provide leadership and coaching to foster a high-performance culture among team members.

Inventory and Stock Management:

Track and monitor stock levels to maintain inventory accuracy and meet operational targets.

Execute daily stock cycle counts accurately and promptly to maintain inventory integrity.

Collaborate with the Plant Teams on stock replenishment to ensure model stock is maintained.

Operational Efficiency:

Coordinate and manage truck loading to ensure timely departures and adherence to schedules.

Oversee rework of damaged products, ensuring quality standards and minimizing product loss.

Manage multipack conversion processes, ensuring efficiency and accurate execution.

Handle the administration and execution of picking operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations, including conducting safety checks and staff training sessions.

Implement strict housekeeping practices to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Asset and Resource Management:

Manage and maintain warehouse assets, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and facility infrastructure, ensuring proper maintenance.

Monitor team performance, attendance, and adherence to company policies.

Collaboration:

Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure seamless transportation and delivery operations.

Work with other departments to resolve any operational challenges and streamline processes.

Requirements

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.

Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.

Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).

Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or certification in logistics or related fields is advantageous.
