Job Description
Oversee day-to-day transportation operations including dispatch, routing, tracking, and scheduling.
Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed on time and within budget.
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of drivers and support staff.
Monitor and ensure compliance with transport regulations, health & safety, and company policies.
Optimize routes and loads to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Coordinate with warehouse, customer service, and sales teams to meet delivery requirements.
Monitor fleet performance and ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained regularly.
Analyze transport data and prepare operational reports (KPIs, cost analysis, delivery performance, etc.).
Implement continuous improvement initiatives in transport operations.
Manage vendor relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, if applicable.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
6+ years of experience in transport or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
Experience with transport management systems (TMS) and route optimization software.
