Job Title: Time Keeper
Reports To: HR Manager / Production Manager
The Time Keeper in a fabrication and manufacturing environment is responsible for accurately tracking workforce attendance, job-wise labor hours, and overtime across fabrication shops, production lines, and site activities. The role plays a critical part in monitoring manpower utilization, supporting payroll, and ensuring cost control for projects and production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily attendance records for all shop floor employees
- Track and record job-wise / project-wise manpower allocation and working hours.
- Monitor shift schedules (day/night shifts) and ensure proper time-in and time-out recording through biometric/manual systems.
- Record and verify overtime hours in coordination with production supervisors.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly manpower and attendance reports.
- Coordinate with fabrication supervisors and foremen to validate attendance, absences, and discrepancies.
- Maintain records of employee movements between departments, projects, or sites.
- Track absenteeism, late arrivals, and early departures, and report to HR/management.
- Support payroll processing by providing accurate attendance, overtime, and leave data.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and site regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Assist in monitoring labor productivity by comparing manpower hours against production output.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Diploma/Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in timekeeping, preferably in fabrication, construction, or manufacturing industries.
- Experience with biometric attendance systems and ERP/HR software.
- Good understanding of overtime calculations and labor tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reports, data tracking).
