The Tennis Coach is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality tennis coaching sessions for players of all ages and skill levels. The role focuses on developing players’ technical, tactical, physical, and mental abilities while ensuring a safe, professional, and enjoyable training environment.

The Tennis Coach is expected to represent the organization professionally, promote sportsmanship, and contribute to the growth and success of the tennis program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver tennis coaching sessions according to the approved training program.
  • Provide individual and group coaching for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players.
  • Teach proper tennis techniques, footwork, strokes, tactics, and match strategies.
  • Assess players’ performance and develop personalized improvement plans.
  • Monitor players’ progress and maintain performance records.
  • Prepare players for local and international tournaments and competitions.
  • Conduct player evaluations and provide constructive feedback to players and parents when required.
  • Ensure all training sessions start and finish on schedule.
  • Maintain discipline, professionalism, and a positive learning environment during training.
  • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and fair play among players.
  • Ensure player safety by following all health and safety procedures during training sessions.
  • Inspect courts and training equipment before each session and report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Assist in organizing tournaments, camps, events, clinics, and promotional activities.
  • Support player recruitment and talent identification initiatives.
  • Encourage player participation and improve member retention through high-quality coaching.
  • Coordinate training schedules with the Head Coach and Sports Department.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, members, and management regarding player development and program updates.
  • Maintain attendance records for all coaching sessions.
  • Submit coaching reports, player evaluations, and other required documentation on time.
  • Assist in promoting academy programs, memberships, and coaching packages when requested.
  • Maintain all coaching equipment and ensure it is stored properly after use.
  • Wear the approved company uniform and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and management instructions.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding player information, company operations, and internal matters.
  • Attend staff meetings, coaching workshops, and professional development sessions as required.
  • Perform any other coaching or operational duties assigned by the Head Coach or Management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • International Tennis Federation (ITF), PTR, GPTCA, or equivalent coaching certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of tennis coaching experience.
  • Experience coaching junior and adult players at different skill levels.
  • Tournament coaching experience is an advantage.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.

Authority and Responsibility

The Tennis Coach is responsible for delivering professional coaching sessions and ensuring the safety, development, and positive experience of all players under their supervision.

The Tennis Coach is authorized to manage on-court training activities and recommend player development plans. However, changes to training schedules, pricing, memberships, tournament participation, or academy policies require prior approval from the Head Coach or Management.

The Tennis Coach must maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality regarding players, parents, colleagues, and company information.

Pay: QAR1.00 – QAR2.00 per month
