Position Summary:
The Technical Standards Compliance Analyst will be responsible for comprehensive evaluation and analysis of telecommunications infrastructure specifications, datasheets, and technical documentation against established industry standards. This role requires deep technical knowledge of fiber optic systems, civil works, and telecommunications accessories.
Key Responsibilities Compliance Analysis & Review:
- Analyze vendor specifications, technical datasheets, and documentation against relevant telecommunications standards
- Conduct systematic cross-referencing of specifications against multiple applicable standards
- Evaluate fiber optic cables, connectors, closures, distribution terminals, and related components
- Assess civil works infrastructure including ducts, manholes, handholes, and accessories
- Review protection systems, accessories, and installation materials for compliance
Technical Evaluation:
- Compare technical parameters systematically against standard requirements
- Assess material specifications, construction requirements, and performance characteristics
- Evaluate dimensional, optical, mechanical, and environmental parameters
- Review testing requirements and acceptance criteria
- Analyze installation procedures and compatibility requirements
Documentation & Reporting:
- Generate comprehensive compliance reports with detailed findings
- Create compliance matrices documenting conformance status for each requirement
- Prepare executive summaries with overall compliance assessments
- Document gaps, deviations, and non-conformities with specific standard references
- Provide corrective action recommendations and risk assessments
Standards Management:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telecommunications technical standards
- Track standard revisions and updates
- Provide guidance on standard interpretation and application
- Support procurement teams with technical standard requirements
Required Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of fiber optic technology and systems
- Knowledge of telecommunications civil works and infrastructure
- Familiarity with optical performance parameters and testing methods
- Knowledge of network protection and installation accessories
Standards Expertise:
- Proven experience with telecommunications technical standards
- Knowledge of civil works standards
- Ability to interpret complex technical specifications
- Understanding of compliance assessment methodologies
Professional Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure or standards compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in technical documentation review
- Experience with compliance reporting and assessment tools
