Technical Designer Draftsman Jobs in Dubai at Bros Mastermind Events Dubai

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Designer to join our team in Dubai, UAE, within the events and exhibitions industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and production/execution drawings for exhibition stands, event setups, and installations.

Candidates with previous experience in events, exhibitions, fit-out, or similar production environments in the UAE will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Drafting

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, and plans using CAD software.
  • Develop 2D drawings and 3D models for exhibition stands, booths, event setups, and related structures.
  • Create floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and execution drawings.
  • Convert approved design concepts into accurate, practical, and production-ready technical drawings.
  • Ensure drawings contain the necessary dimensions, specifications, materials, and construction details required by the production team.

Technical & Production Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Designers, Production, Carpenters, and other technical teams.
  • Review designs and identify potential technical or production issues before execution.
  • Revise and update drawings based on project requirements, client feedback, and site conditions.
  • Ensure designs are practical, buildable, and suitable for production and installation.
  • Ensure drawings comply with applicable venue requirements, safety standards, and project specifications.

Material & Production Support

  • Specify appropriate materials, finishes, dimensions, and construction details.
  • Prepare or assist with material requirements and basic quantity calculations.
  • Ensure drawings clearly communicate fabrication and assembly requirements to the production team.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors when required for material specifications and technical details.

Project & Site Support

  • Coordinate technical requirements according to project deadlines and installation schedules.
  • Provide on-site technical support during event/exhibition installation and dismantling when required.
  • Verify site measurements and conditions when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot technical and drawing-related issues during production and installation.
  • Make urgent drawing revisions when required during project execution.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, approvals, and project documentation.
  • Ensure the latest approved drawings are properly communicated to the relevant teams.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, or supporting documents when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant Technical Designer / Draftsman experience.
  • Previous experience in the events & exhibitions industry is highly preferred.
  • UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design/drafting software such as SketchUp.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, fabrication methods, materials, finishes, and production processes.
  • Ability to prepare detailed and production-ready drawings independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret design concepts, technical specifications, layouts, and site measurements.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Willingness to provide site support and work according to project requirements during busy event periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,500.00 – AED5,000.00 per month
