Safety Officer (Operations Monitoring) Jobs in Lebanon at Gemayel Freres s.a.l.
The Safety Officer will monitor daily operations, identify unsafe acts and conditions, enforce safety requirements, and ensure employees and contractors comply with company policies and procedures. This hands-on safety enforcement role requires a strong field presence, attention to detail, and the ability to intervene immediately when safety risks are identified. This position is primarily assigned to the night shift; however, shift rotations may be required based on operational needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections throughout the facility to monitor compliance with HSE requirements.
- Identify, report, and immediately address unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and violations of company rules.
- Monitor hot work, working at height, and other permit-controlled activities to ensure all safety requirements are followed.
- Supervise contractors during maintenance, repair, and project activities to ensure compliance with company HSE standards.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, property damage, and safety observations promptly and accurately.
- Monitor workplace discipline and report inappropriate behavior or unauthorized activities.
- Maintain daily communication regarding safety concerns and corrective actions.
