We are seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator – Glass to oversee and manage all technical aspects of architectural and structural glass projects. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE, with a deep understanding of local building codes, suppliers, and installation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage technical aspects of glass and glazing projects from design through execution.
Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure design intent and project requirements are met.
Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and specifications for glass and aluminum systems.
Prepare and manage material submittals, method statements, and quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, international standards (ASTM, BS, EN), and project specifications.
Provide technical support for procurement, fabrication, and site installation teams.
Monitor progress and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning.
Collaborate with QA/QC to ensure product quality and installation accuracy.
Maintain documentation and logs for all project activities and correspondence.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ technical coordination experience in the glass and façade industry within the UAE.
Strong understanding of structural glazing, curtain wall systems, spider systems, laminated/tempered glass, etc.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
Familiar with UAE construction codes and standards.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
