Team Leader- Warehouse Jobs in Sharjah at 2XL HOME
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Leader – Furniture Repair & Joinery to oversee our furniture repair workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising workshop operations, leading a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality furniture repairs, and maintaining workshop inventory and equipment.
This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in carpentry, joinery, furniture repair, and quality control, along with the ability to manage daily workshop activities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the furniture repair workshop.
- Assign, monitor, and prioritize repair work to ensure timely completion.
- Inspect repaired furniture to ensure it meets company quality standards.
- Perform and oversee furniture repair, assembly, joinery, wood finishing, polishing, and refurbishment work.
- Lead, train, and motivate workshop staff to improve productivity and workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing furniture, spare parts, repair materials, consumables, and stock usage.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material requirements.
- Ensure workshop tools, machinery, and equipment are properly maintained and used safely.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Prepare daily work reports and communicate operational updates to the Warehouse Manager.
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repair requests.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma, ITI, or Trade Certificate in Carpentry, Joinery, Furniture Manufacturing, or a related trade.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in furniture repair, carpentry, or joinery.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Experience in the furniture retail, manufacturing, warehouse, or refurbishment industry is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of furniture repair, assembly, joinery, wood finishing, and restoration techniques.
- Good understanding of furniture quality control (QC) standards.
- Ability to lead and supervise workshop teams effectively.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience in workshop inventory management and stock control.
- Ability to troubleshoot repair issues and provide practical solutions.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: AED3,500.00 – AED4,000.00 per month
