This is a high-visibility role where you will be the primary architect of our tax strategy. We need a professional who can blend deep technical knowledge of Qatari tax law with the foresight to manage international tax exposure in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Your Strategic Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance & Strategy: Lead the preparation and filing of all corporate income tax returns, ensuring 100% compliance with the Qatar General Tax Authority (GTA).
- Withholding Tax (WHT): Oversee and manage WHT applications on international contracts and service agreements, ensuring optimized treaty benefits.
- Transfer Pricing: Manage and document transfer pricing policies for intercompany transactions in line with local and global standards.
- Dhareeba Expert: Act as the primary administrator for the Dhareeba tax portal, ensuring all registrations, filings, and certificates are managed seamlessly.
- Audit Defense: Represent Ingeomin in all tax-related audits and inquiries, serving as the lead negotiator with tax authorities.
- Advisory: Provide real-time tax advice to the business development and project teams on the fiscal implications of new contracts and joint ventures.
Who You Are
- The Expert: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or Finance. A professional qualification (CTA, CPA, or ACCA) is highly desirable.
- The Veteran: 8–12 years of tax experience, with at least 5 years specifically focused on the Qatar tax regime. Experience within an engineering or consulting firm is a major plus.
- Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of Qatar’s Income Tax Law, VAT (preparations/updates), and international tax treaties (Double Taxation Agreements).
- The Analyst: A sharp eye for detail and the ability to identify tax-saving opportunities while maintaining strict ethical standards.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is highly advantageous for direct communication with local authorities.
