Position Overview
The Tax Auditor will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and verifying tax-related records to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional with strong auditing expertise and a solid understanding of tax frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of tax records, filings, and financial documentation
- Ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations and applicable standards
- Review VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and supporting schedules
- Identify discrepancies, risks, and potential areas of non-compliance
- Prepare detailed audit findings and tax compliance reports
- Recommend corrective actions and process improvements
- Support internal and external tax audits and regulatory inquiries
- Monitor updates in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in tax auditing or tax compliance roles
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, VAT regulations, and auditing standards
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in accounting and audit software
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
