Role in Commercial Law and Regulatory Affairs at PwC
You will advise on regulatory and public policy issues related to PwC’s commercial activities, respond to inquiries or investigations by regulators, understand the legal impacts of regulatory directives, and prepare the business for public inquiries and hearings.
Responsibilities of a Senior Associate in the Legal Team
Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, outsourcing, licensing, distribution, procurement, and data protection.
Advise on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues such as company law, anti-trust, anti-bribery, sanctions, and ESG matters.
Assist with due diligence, disclosure, and closing processes for corporate transactions and projects.
Research and monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the business, providing updates and guidance to the legal team and business units.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
A law degree and a current practicing certificate in the relevant jurisdiction.
At least 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably in a reputable law firm.
Experience advising on regulatory projects and initiatives.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
High professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
