Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Female Tailor who specializes in designing, stitching, altering, and finishing high-quality evening gowns. The ideal candidate should have excellent sewing skills, attention to detail, and experience working with luxury fabrics and intricate embellishments to create elegant, custom-fitted garments.
Key Responsibilities
- Stitch, alter, and finish evening gowns to a high standard.
- Take accurate client measurements and ensure perfect garment fitting.
- Perform alterations and adjustments based on client requirements.
- Work with delicate and premium fabrics such as satin, chiffon, silk, lace, tulle, velvet, and organza.
- Apply embellishments including beads, sequins, crystals, embroidery, and lace appliqués.
- Read and interpret garment patterns and technical sketches.
- Ensure garments meet quality standards before delivery.
- Operate and maintain sewing machines and tailoring equipment.
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining excellent craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with designers and the production team when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience tailoring evening gowns, bridal wear, or luxury dresses.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fitting, and alterations.
- Experience handling delicate fabrics and detailed embellishment work.
- Ability to create garments from patterns or sample designs.
- Excellent hand-stitching and machine-sewing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in bridal couture or luxury fashion.
- Knowledge of pattern making and garment draping.
- Fashion or tailoring certification is an advantage.
