Structural QC Inspector – Oil & Gas Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Matrix Hr Solutions
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural QC Inspector with over 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting structural components and ensuring that all work meets project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and verify the quality of structural materials and components (e.g., beams, columns, plates, steel structures) to ensure they comply with project specifications and industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS).
Review structural drawings, welding procedures, and material certifications to ensure proper compliance.
Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure structural integrity.
Monitor fabrication, assembly, and installation processes to ensure that they adhere to the approved structural design.
Perform dimensional checks and ensure that structural components meet tolerance requirements.
Identify, report, and assist in resolving any non-conformance issues or defects.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, test reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Work closely with engineers, contractors, and third-party inspectors to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Ensure thatsafety protocolsare followed throughout structural fabrication, welding, and installation processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma or degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Structural QC Inspector in the oil and gas sector.
In-depth knowledge of structural codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS D1.1, ASTM).
Proficient in structural inspection methods and tools, including NDT techniques.
Strong ability to interpret and work with structural drawings and specifications.
Excellentattention to detail, report-writing skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Familiarity with Qatar’s oil and gas regulations and industry standards is preferred.
