Job Context: The role of the “Strategy and Business Development Director” will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, identifying new business opportunities, driving long-term growth, and leading transformation projects that enhance operational efficiency and organizational change. Key responsibilities in this role include :
Key Accountabilities
Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to achieve long-term goals.
Conduct market analysis and feasibility studies to identify growth opportunities in the construction industry.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and ventures.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and government entities.
Lead negotiations and manage contracts for new projects, ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.
Lead transformation projects to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and drive organizational change.
Expand into new markets within Saudi Arabia and the GCC region.
Analyze market trends and competitors to position the company as a leader in the industry.
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic initiatives.
Monitor financial performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
Lead and mentor the business development team, providing guidance and support to achieve targets.
Foster a collaborative and innovativework environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings with external stakeholders.
Communicate the company’s vision, strategy, and goals to internal and external audiences.
Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to enhance business development efforts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
10-15 years of experience in business development, strategy, and transformation within the construction industry.
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Proven track record of successfully leading and executing strategic initiatives and transformation projects.
Experience in the Saudi Arabian or GCC construction market.
Experience in managing turnaround projects in the construction industry highly preferred.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams through significant changes.
Excellent communication skills, proficient in both verbal and written forms.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities to devise effective transformation strategies.
Deep understanding of change management principles and their application.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to handle contracts and agreements.
Commitment to ethical standards and compliance with corporate governance.
