The Stores Incharge is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the stores/warehouse to ensure efficient

inventory management

, accurate documentation, timely material issuance, and compliance with company policies and safety standards. This role involves managing storekeepers and store assistants, coordinating with procurement and production teams, and ensuring optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted operations.

Role & responsibilities

Supervise all store activities including receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing of materials.

Ensure proper inventory control and management through ERP systems.

Maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular stock audits, and reconcile variances.

Ensure timely documentation of incoming and outgoing materials.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the purchase department for reordering.

Ensure materials are stored safely and organized systematically for easy access.

Coordinate with

quality control

for material inspection and rejection handling.

Maintain cleanliness, safety, and security of the store area.

Lead and train store personnel to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

Generate periodic inventory reports, including slow-moving and obsolete stock reports.

Liaise with internal departments (procurement, production, accounts) for material planning and coordination.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in storekeeping/warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or oil & gas industry preferred.

Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).Strong understanding of
