Sr Project Engineer – Solar Jobs in Dubai at Site and Power Solution
We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, with a focus on solar photovoltaic (PV) and heating systems. The role involves technical coordination, project monitoring, site supervision, vendor management, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects from feasibility and design through installation, commissioning, and completion.
- Review client requirements and prepare project feasibility assessments, technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Review technical designs, drawings, specifications, construction documents, claims, and payment submissions in coordination with consultants and contract management.
- Prepare technical and techno-commercial proposals, including product selection, technical design, and commercial submissions in line with client and local authority requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct site visits, supervise construction and installation activities, and ensure works are executed according to approved designs, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV and heating systems.
- Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues and challenges on site.
- Attend project meetings, consultant/contractor meetings, technical presentations, and client discussions as required.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing team on material requirements, supplier selection, pricing, and procurement.
- Liaise with local authorities and support the process of obtaining required approvals for solar products and systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health & safety, environmental, sustainability, and legal requirements.
- Prepare site reports, technical documentation, and other project-related records.
- Support the development and introduction of new products and participate in product training, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Perform other project and engineering duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within solar energy, renewable energy, MEP, HVAC, or related engineering industries.
- Practical experience in project execution, site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, heating systems, technical design, and engineering principles is an advantage.
- Experience preparing technical and techno-commercial proposals.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
- Good understanding of project planning, cost control, quality, and HSE requirements.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering/project management software.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
