Sr. Lead Geology Modeller Jobs in Navi Mumbai, India at Reliance Industries
Main Purpose:
To provide senior technical leadership and hands-on execution in geological and dynamic modelling for clean energy ensuring robust model integrity, reliable forecasts and integrated inputs for gasifier design, production planning and performance optimisation.
Job Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute geological and dynamic modelling workflows integrating geological, geochemical and geo-mechanical processes relevant to business.
- Provide oversight while remaining hands-on in static and dynamic model construction, updates and validation.
- Perform and review production history matching using syngas composition, quality, rate and pressure data.
- Integrate gasification models with process simulation and operational data to support optimisation of gasifier performance and syngas quality.
- Provide technical leadership and execution support for the panel and well configuration design including injector–producer placement, ignition sequencing and retraction strategies.
- Define and execute surveillance and monitoring strategies ensuring timely model updates and performance tracking.
- Analyse production data to monitor resource utilisation, cavity evolution and operational behaviour.
- Perform and review cavity growth and subsidence-related calculations to support safe operating envelopes.
- Prepare short- and long-term production forecasts and development scenarios for operating and planned gasifiers.
- Assess requirements for new injectors, producers and gasifier developments in line with production plans and coal seam availability.
- Support techno-economic evaluations by providing reliable forecasts and sensitivities.
- Review consultant studies and modelling deliverables, ensuring technical consistency and defensibility.
- Prepare and present technical reports, model reviews and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to modelling and geology team members without direct people management accountability.
