What you’ll be doing

Develop and implement customs strategies across the region, maintain relationships with customs agencies and government authorities, and analyze economic impacts of product classification and origin changes.

Key Responsibilities:

Information and Data Management: Collaborate with origin teams for Master Data support.

Reporting to Senior Management: Provide performance updates on customs brokers and agencies to the transport Director.

Oversee Quality and Performance: Monitor and improve customs documentation quality.

Advise on Cost-Effective Solutions: Offer guidance on cost savings related to customs duties.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations adhere to all regulations and internal processes.

Billing and Invoicing: Ensure accurate billing and monitor invoices for correctness.

Customs and Regulatory Compliance Management: Oversee compliance with customs and dangerous goods regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with customs and government agencies.

Audit Management: Maintain shipment records and handle audit requests.

Communication and Meetings: Engage with stakeholders to resolve operational issues.

Reporting and Improvement: Provide reports and pursue continuous operational improvements.

Team Development: Train and support team members.

Compliance and Integrity: Report breaches and implement corrective actions.

What you’ll need to succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience in import/export customs operations and clearance.

Knowledge of logistics regulations, customs, and incoterms.

Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience handling large data sets.

Knowledge of ISO, OHSAS, and environmental management systems is advantageous.

SAP proficiency.

Fluent in Arabic and English.
