Job Summary
The Site Manager is responsible for managing all on-site fit-out activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, effective coordination with project stakeholders, and the ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to achieve successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Management & Execution
- Manage and supervise all daily site operations for interior fit-out projects.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Lead and manage site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and labor teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.
- Resolve technical and operational issues on-site to avoid delays and disruptions.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to implement project schedules and milestones.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Attend site meetings and follow up on action items.
- Coordinate with procurement and factory teams to ensure timely material production and delivery.
Quality Control
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and QA/QC teams.
- Monitor snagging activities and ensure timely close-out before project handover.
- Support the resolution of NCRs and quality-related issues.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce company HSE policies and local regulations.
- Promote safe working practices across the site.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain a safe working environment.
- Report incidents, risks, and unsafe conditions immediately.
Material & Resource Management
- Monitor material deliveries, storage, and site utilization.
- Ensure efficient allocation of manpower, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Minimize material waste and improve site productivity.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including RFIs, site instructions, inspection records, and progress updates.
- Report project progress, risks, and challenges to the Project Manager.
Project Handover
- Manage snagging and close-out activities.
- Coordinate final inspections with consultants and clients.
- Ensure all outstanding works are completed prior to project handover.
- Support the successful handover of completed projects.
Requirements
- Must have proven experience in Interior Fit-Out projects (mandatory).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the interior fit-out industry.
- Proven experience working with reputable fit-out contractors.
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods, finishing works, and construction sequencing.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, IFC drawings, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and work under tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of all fit-out trades, including MEP, joinery, gypsum, flooring, ceilings, painting, and finishing works.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction regulations and site practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
