Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Site Engineer to oversee and manage civil works related to high voltage substations and transmission line infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, site supervision, and construction management within the power transmission and distribution sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage all civil construction activities at the substation and transmission line sites.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and safety standards.
Coordinate with electrical engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly site reports.
Conduct quality control checks and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures.
Manage site logistics, materials, and workforce planning.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Participate in site inspections, audits, and commissioning activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in civil works for high voltage substations (132kV and above) and transmission lines.
Proven experience in foundation works, cable trenches, control buildings, and tower/pole foundations.
Familiarity with international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and local construction codes.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and civil engineering software.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in remote locations and under challenging site conditions.
