Job Description
A Service Now Technical Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Service Now solutions. They provide technical leadership, ensure best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver efficient, scalable, and high-performing Service Now applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Solution Design:
Lead the architecture, design, and development of Service Now modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Sec Ops, etc.).
Define best practices for development, integrations, and platform performance optimization.
Review technical designs and guide the development team.

Development & Implementation:
Hands-on development of Service Now applications, workflows, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, and integrations.
Customize Service Now applications using JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and web technologies.
Implement automation and orchestration processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirement Gathering:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Conduct technical workshops and solution demos.
Collaborate with Service Now architects, developers, and administrators.

Platform Management & Optimization:
Ensure system stability, performance, and security compliance.
Implement upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements.
Optimize instance health and conduct regular performance tuning.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Guide and mentor junior developers and technical teams.
Conduct code reviews and enforce best coding practices.
Provide training sessions on Service Now development and implementation.

Integration & Automation:
Integrate Service Now with external systems (LDAP, Active Directory, third-party tools).
Leverage Service Now’s Integration Hub and automation capabilities.
Develop and maintain APIs for seamless data exchange.

Governance & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to ITIL, Agile, and Dev Ops methodologies.
Enforce governance policies, security controls, and access management.
Maintain documentation and technical artifacts.

Qualifications:

8-10 years of experience in IT or related business fields.

A degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Certifications (Preferred):

Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).

Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD).

Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITSM.

ITIL Foundation certification.

Agile/Scrum.
