Position and Responsibilities
Job Title: Structural Engineer
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. Design & Analysis
Perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Revit). Develop detailed structural drawings (reinforcement, formwork, etc.) using AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools. Ensure compliance with local & international codes (ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, BS, etc.) and project specifications.
2. Coordination & Collaboration
Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and civil teams to ensure clash-free, integrated designs. Attend design coordination meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and consultants.
3. Authority Approvals & Compliance
Prepare and review submission packages for regulatory approvals (e.g., DM (Dubai Municipality), Trakhees, ADM, etc.).Liaise with authorities and third-party reviewers to facilitate design approvals.
4. Site Supervision & Construction Support
Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved designs and specifications. Assist in resolving construction-related issues (e.g., design discrepancies, material deviations).
5. Review & Quality Assurance
Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for alignment with design intent. Address RFIs (Requests for Information) and provide technical clarifications.
