The Screen Printer is responsible for carrying out screen-printing operations using manual and machine-based printing methods. The role involves preparing screens, mixing and matching colours, operating printing equipment, conducting quality checks, troubleshooting printing issues, and ensuring that all finished products meet customer and brand specifications. The position also supports the development of the screen-printing department and provides guidance and training to team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Review work orders and determine printing requirements, materials, inks, and estimated production time.
- Prepare and set up screens for printing according to project specifications.
- Operate manual and machine-based screen-printing equipment.
- Calibrate machines and conduct quality checks throughout the printing process.
- Mix inks and dyes and ensure accurate colour matching as per brand guidelines.
- Print on various materials and troubleshoot printing issues when required.
- Dry, fold, and pack completed printed items.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE when handling inks, dyes, and chemicals.
- Train and guide team members and support the development of the screen-printing department.
- Prepare daily production reports and update management.
- Support other departments when required and work extended hours based on project and delivery requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as a Screen Printer or in a similar printing role.
- Practical knowledge of manual and machine-based screen printing.
- Knowledge of screen preparation, colour mixing, ink handling, and printing techniques.
- Ability to understand work orders and follow customer and brand specifications.
- Good attention to detail and quality-conscious approach.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic printing and equipment-related issues.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Pay: AED1,500.00 – AED2,500.00 per month
