Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planning Engineer to
join our team
, focusing on the planning and risk management aspects of large-scale oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience (minimum 15 years) in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years working on offshore projects.
Experience with
major EPC projects,
Project Management
Consultancy (PMC), and ADNOC projects is essential. This is an office-based role, where the Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for driving the planning function and ensuring effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and scheduling activities for large-scale oil & gas projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets. Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules, ensuring that critical milestones are achieved and delays are identified early. Work closely with project teams to collect data, review progress, and forecast potential issues. Proactively manage and report project risks, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide accurate and timely project status reports to stakeholders, including detailed analysis of schedule performance, critical path, and potential delays. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other project teams to integrate various project functions into an efficient and comprehensive schedule. Support the
project management
team with performance data and provide recommendations to resolve scheduling conflicts or delays. Ensure compliance with project execution strategies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Conduct regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including
project management
teams, contractors, and clients, to track project progress. Contribute to the preparation of project proposals, bids, and contract reviews, particularly in the planning and scheduling areas. Lead or participate in planning workshops and
risk assessment
sessions. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in planning, scheduling, and risk management.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,
Project Management
, or a related field. Relevant certifications in
project management
and planning (e.g., PMP, PMI-RMP, or equivalent) preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with significant experience in major EPC projects. At least 5 years of experience in offshore oil and gas projects. Strong experience with
Project Management
Consultancy (PMC) roles and ADNOC projects.
Demonstrated
hands-on experience
in planning and risk management, with a deep understanding of the tools, methodologies, and processes required. Â Skills &
