Position Summary: As a Security Officer you are responsible for protecting a customer, colleague, company property in the case of an incident. Your duties include monitoring a specific area, evicting trespassers and writing reports detailing any occurrences during shift. Speaks clearly, distinctly, and with a friendly, courteous tone while addressing complaints and going an extra mile to guest satisfactory. Handling of highly confidential and sensitive matters to ensure smooth operation of the Outlet whereby your role will include key responsibilities but are not limited to the following:
· Patrol and monitor activities on the Outlet’s premises regularly to ensure the premise is safe and secure.
· Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over.
· Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities
· Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management.
· Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
· Able to Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
· Receives Guest/VIP in a professional and friendly manner .
- Ensures a high level of product knowledge of the Outlet and local areas, remain constantly updated with information and to be able to provide maximum assistance to guests and to colleagues.
· Takes and distributes messages and prioritize where necessary.
· Deals with any complaint, taking action as appropriate and communicating the same to the immediate Supervisor/HOD.
- Strictly follow all operational procedures within the department.
- Have a detailed knowledge about the Fire and Emergency procedures.
· Monitor, control and ensure consistent proper communication of emergency situations to the department heads.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the Department’s operation and to work closely with other colleagues.
- Strictly follow policies and procedures.
- To adhere to strict grooming and hygiene standards.
- Encourages a good standard of team conduct and behavior.
- Undertaking other duties not specifically stated which from time to time are necessary without altering the nature or level of responsibility.
Prerequisites:
· High school graduate or equivalent.
· Knowledge in of security protocols
· Excellent communication skills both written and oral with an understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment.
· Ability to solve, negotiate, analyze without prejudice customer issues within the scope of position.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to operate security systems and emergency equipment
· Ability to work alone or as part of a team
· Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations
· Additional Language is an advantage.
