Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Upholsterer to join our furniture production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, foaming, and upholstering furniture frames to create high-quality finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
– Cut and prepare fabric, foam, and other materials for upholstery
– Create upholstery stencils
– Dismantle furniture for upholstery preparation
– Measure and cut leather or fabric using design stencils
– Stitch, glue, and nail fabric into place
– Apply and install foam and fabric to furniture frames using various techniques and tools
– Ensure accurate measurements and precise cutting to meet production standards
– Operate and maintain upholstery equipment, such as sewing machines and staplers
– Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
– 5+ years of experience in furniture upholstery
– Knowledge of cutting, foaming, and upholstery techniques
– Proficiency in operating upholstery equipment and tools
– Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards
– Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines
– Physical stamina to lift and move heavy furniture frames and materials
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience working with various types of fabrics and materials
– Knowledge of furniture design and construction
– Certification or training in upholstery or a related field
