We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Specialist to join our Middle East Sales Team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
As part of the Middle East Sales Team, you will work in a fast-paced environment with the existing team and other functions across the group.
The Role
The primary focus of the role is to drive the company’s growth through both outbound and inbound sales activities. The role is responsible for generating new business leads, qualifying inbound opportunities, and successfully transitioning won business to the Client Management team for ongoing relationship development. A strong background in sales, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments are key to success.
About You
To excel in this role, you’ll need a proven track record of success in business development or sales. You’re a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. You thrive in fast-paced environments and possess a strong understanding of sales cycles and customer relationship management. Experience in the media industry is a significant advantage. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Essential knowledge and skills
· Degree educated or equivalent experience with exceptional knowledge of the media industry
· Strong communication skills in person / via digital media and a proven ability to influence
· Proven commercial awareness, sales and business development experience
· Confident phone manner and cold-calling abilities
· Determined, self-motivated and enthusiastic about maintaining standards
· Optimistic and energetic, enjoys working under pressure
· Great attention to detail and a result driven approach
· Proven ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
· Excellent ‘standard written English’
· Computer literate [MS Office]
· Excellent research skills
Key Accountabilities
1 . Lead Generation & Outreach:
Proactively identify, research, and generate new outbound business leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and social media.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients, targeting high-value opportunities aligned with the company’s strategies goals.
2 . Inbound Lead Qualification:
Handle inbound sales inquiries, qualify leads, and determine their fit with the company’s offerings.
Engage with prospects to understand their needs, pain points, and budget to ensure a high-quality lead pipeline.
3. Sales Process Management:
Present the company’s services and value proposition to prospective clients.
Work closely with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and sales presentations.
Negotiate and close deals while ensuring all client requirements are documented clearly.
4. Business Handover to Client Management:
Ensure smooth transition of all won business to the client management team by providing detailed documentation, including client needs, expectations, and deliverables.
5 Collaboration & Reporting:
Collaborate with marketing, product, and client management teams to align business development efforts with
broader company goals.
Report on sales activities, progress toward targets, and market feedback regularly.
