Position: Safety Officer – (Jubail   Rabigh)
Job Responsibilities
and Requirements
On-site implementation of Safety Plans and Recommendations to ensure safety for employees and users.
Identify and recommend solutions for current safety issues and areas for improvement, supporting operational effectiveness.
Report inconsistencies in working areas and collaborate on suitable corrective actions.
Participate in scheduled or surprise Safety Audits, documenting findings for review.
Assist in Safety Training, including Fire Evacuation drills, ensuring proper preparation and communication.
Maintain follow-up records for Disaster Management and Emergency Plans, ensuring effective communication and implementation.
Promote Safety Awareness through sessions, bulletins, flyers, and other materials.
Monitor and record the status of fire extinguishers, hoses, and firefighting equipment for readiness and maintenance.
Assist in preparing and updating Safety Plans, including safety equipment and tools.
Conduct on-site checks of fire alarms and firefighting systems.
Support the use of personal protective equipment as per Safety Management System guidelines.
Recommend methods for ensuring the safety of plant and machinery, including regular checks of rides and attractions.
Ensure availability and proper maintenance of first aid supplies; train staff in first aid procedures.
Provide current information on health and safety policies to management.
Participate in regular safety training for staff and tenants.
Coordinate with relevant departments and authorities for audits and safety improvements.
Review controls for hazardous substances and risks related to flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation, and manual handling hazards.
Implement risk assessment outcomes and train employees accordingly, providing reports and recommendations.
Identify opportunities for safety process improvements and develop personal skills continually.
Monitor and report on health and safety practices and incidents.
Experience working with international companies is advantageous.
Hold a First Aid Certificate or course.
Familiarity with NIOSH, OSHA, ISO 14000, ISO 18000 standards.
Certification in OSHA, NIOSH, ISO Lead Auditor from recognized bodies.
Conduct risk and hazard analyses.
Effective training, communication, and presentation skills.
Perform root cause analysis and investigations.
Implement Kaizen methodologies, especially 5S, in manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of ISO 14000 or ISO 18000 standards.
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Safety.
